Description
These delightful earrings have been made with love by me in my studio in Brisbane, Australia. These unique earrings have been made by a process of torch-flame enamelling powdered glass onto a copper surface over an oxy torch. They can pass through the flame multiple times to create some the varied effects that you can see above. From there they have been finished with 925 sterling silver findings.
Approximate measurements are 35 mm across at widest point & 67 mm long from the top of the earring to the bottom. Lightweight and comfortable to wear, they come gift boxed to you.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
A special note for care of enamelled jewellery items, handle them with care, excessive force can cause glass to crack, DO NOT BEND YOUR PIECE OTHERWISE THE GLASS WILL CRACK AND FALL OFF. Care instructions are given with each order to assist with the longevity of your handmade piece. The piece is best cleaned by washing in warm soapy water gently. Polishing cloths are highly recommended to regain the sterling silver to its original lustre.
NB. Glass is notoriously difficult to photograph, most pieces appear more vibrant and fuller of life to what the camera can capture, whilst every effort is made to take a true photograph there may be minor differences. Also, whilst most enamelled pieces have a black coloured back, some are coloured and due the excessive heating it may cause chemical reactions resulting in metal oxides coming to the surface and looking metallic or others having multiple colours which are unpredicted, this is simply part of the process and magic of glass and does not affect its function.
