Midnight Serenade

These lovely earrings have been made entirely by me in my home studio. The lampwork glass beads have been created with deep purple almost black Italian glass, rolled in broken pieces of coloured glass (frit) and then shaped into a bicone shape. Then they have been annealed in a digital kiln for several hours in order to stabilise and strengthen the glass. From there they have wire wrapped in copper findings and wire. The copper ear hooks have been coated with allergy shield in order to stop skin discolouration.

The actual glass measures 16mm across at widest point & is 15mm high. The length of the entire earring from top to bottom is 45mm.

Care instructions: Whilst each piece goes through an annealing process to strengthen the glass, do take care not to drop them. The piece is best cleaned by washing in warm soapy water gently.
