There is something magical about working with copper, the warmth really brings out the colours of the beads.
This hinged bracelet has been entirely made with love by me in my studio in Brisbane, Australia. The lampwork beads are made from American borosilicate glass which has silver in it which while working them causes unique and individual reactions in each bead. This glass is also the same type that you may have in your own kitchen in your pyrex dishes. I have individually constructed the hinged bracelet from nothing more than copper wire and findings. It has then been placed in my tumbler to bring the piece to a nice shine.
Approximate measurements of the largest beads are 9mm across at widest point & 15 mm high and the bracelet is 7 1/4″ in circumference (18.4 cm). It is designed to sit snug with your wrist however to size whether this is right for you, place a piece of string around your wrist and then add approximately 6 – 12 mm. I may be adjust to a degree if required, just send me your wrist measurement to see if this is possible.
All copper pieces are coated with a protective layer of renaissance wax to assist with keeping their lustre and reduce oxidation however I recommend regular wear. This piece comes gift boxed to you.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
The piece is best cleaned by washing in warm soapy water gently. Soft cloths are highly recommended to regain the copper to it’s original lustre. Being copper some individuals may tarnish the piece quicker than others. This comes from the acidity in your skin. Car instructions are given with each order to assist wit the longevity of your handmade piece.
